At Hattons we like to offer our students the chance to learn from different choreographers & creatives in the industry. Over the last 25 years we have managed to build relationships throughout the country with people we have met along the way as well as our very own pupils who have gone on to become influential figures within the performing arts industry.
This week we were happy to welcome back Mark Webb to the school for the second time this year. Our students always leave Mark's workshops feeling inspired and hungry to better themselves, both in performing and everyday life.
Mark is one of the most sought after dancers of his generation. He has had the pleasure of performing on stage with such top musical artists as Destiny’s Child, Take That, Blue, Elton John, Kylie Minogue, Steps, Girls Aloud, Lionel Ritchie, Spice Girls, Boyzone, Diana Ross and Cher.
Mark is currently teaching at some of the leading performing arts colleges in the country and is passionate about passing on his knowledge and work ethic to the generation of today.
In the coming weeks we are looking forward to welcoming Emma Clayton, the Creative Director for Madd College. Emma is going to be teaching the students what they can expect from a day in the life of a top performing arts college.
Emma has worked as a Director, Producer & Choreographer. Her body of work includes working on Broadway & west end productions including ‘The Tiger Who Came To Tea’ which received an Olivier Award nomination
Our regular classes close over the Christmas holidays, however we have some great opportunities heading our way in the form of workshops with Phil Birchall, Madeleine Waters and Gracie Gledhill.
Phil & Madeleine are coming to host a full day workshop with us on December 23rd. It is always good to welcome Phil back to Hattons where he started his dancing career before heading off to stage school.
Since leaving Hattons and starting his professional career Phil has enjoyed success in TV, Theatre, Live shows and performing alongside No. 1 music artists worldwide.
Madeleine has been a featured dancer on M&S and Lidl Christmas TV campaigns. She’s performed on the X Factor stage with Busted and danced for a live performance by Birdy. She’s has been a part of music videos with artists such as Ellie Goulding, Robbie Williams, Years & Years and the Cold War Kids.
The students of Hattons can't wait to learn new routines and experiences with Phil & Madeleine.
Lastly on the 29th of December we have another of our home grown talents in the form of Gracie Gledhill.
Fresh from traveling the world on tour with Hrvy, Gracie is coming to run a workshop over the Christmas Holidays.
Gracie left Hattons at 16 to further her training at Bird College in Sidcup. Since graduating she has performed at music festivals, arenas and on TV.
The students always love Gracie's workshops and we feel extremely lucky to have the constant support of our past pupils.
