Scarborough Youth Theatre meets at the Hatton School of Performing Arts on Saturdays, 11.30am - 2.30pm, for an hour of dance, an hour of drama and an hour of singing. SYT is performance based learning and aims to put on a full length drama and a musical each year, interspersed with smaller productions, workshops, visits and lessons.
Scarborough Youth Theatre is currently recruiting for a well-known musical to be staged at the end of the year. Ages 6-10yrs, 11-16yrs, and 16yrs and above. If you are interested and want to know how to join, call 01723 501249 or drop us an email.
STOP PRESS
In June this year SYT travelled down to London to perform at The National Theatre. They were one of the ten youth theatre groups, out of almost two hundred, to be invited. SYT performed a play called 'Too Fast' by Douglas Maxwell as part of the National Theatre Connections Festival.
