NEWS FOR 2011

In August members of the school appeared in a new BBC comedy series:

"Sugar Town"
A brand new comedy!

If you haven't seen them already, keep your eye out for some of our pupils, parents and staff on BBC1's "Sugartown". We have been given the roles as extras in the three, one hour episodes which will screened on BBC 1. This has been a great experience for the school especially for our first step baby ballet pupils.

Last winter the school took part in the filming in and around Scarborough. All our pupils, parents and stuff were brilliant! Below is a screenshot of our First Step Baby Ballet pupils during episode 2. If you didn't get chance to see them, you can always watch them online at www.bbc.co.uk/iplayer

CONGRATULATIONS TO SCARBOROUGH YOUTH THEATRE

SYTlogoBlackBackgroundWell done to Scarborough Youth Theatre who recently performed 'Too Fast' by Douglas Maxwell at the National Theatre, London, as part of the Connections festival. Out of almost two hundred groups that took part in the nationwide festival only ten were invited to perform at the National Theatre. The company thoroughly enjoyed the experience and had an amazing time.

Scarborough Youth Theatre is looking for new members to join them for a well known musical production to be staged at the end of the year and for a new play to be performed next year as part of the Connections 2012 festival.

We currently have spaces for ages 6-10yrs, 11-16yrs, and 16yrs and above. If you are interested and want to know how to join, call 01723 501249 or drop us an email.
